In the wake of the destruction in Orlando, FL – We stand in solidarity with all affected.
There is no freedom without equality. In many cultures/religions it is still being taught that those who live a certain lifestyle are lesser people. This is wrong. & to feel empowered to enforce that? Is even more wrong. Be it laws, or by self-righteous brute force.
No one is free until we are all free. Whether you are LBGTQ or anything else, situations like this remind us that we are all responsible for this. Before and after.
Stand up for those who are bullied. Befriend those who are bullies and attempt to soften their hearts. To shun an individual, or make groups of people meet in secret to just be themselves is not a society that is thriving. Its a society that is hurting.
The only way for us to heal is to stand for the people who need it most. You know who they are, you see them everyday.
Be kind and give equality.
